How we met
Liam and Taylor met while working on self-driving trucks at Embark in San Francisco. They hit it off pretty quickly and started dating after knowing each other for about a year. Sadly, their startup didn’t make it — but Liam and Taylor’s relationship continued to grow.
While the company wound down, Liam and Taylor found themselves with a lot of free time, and they got to spend lots of it together over the next few months.
A dreamy early retirement
They survived a road trip where Taylor taught Liam how to drive, visited Hawaii, spent time with Liam’s family and friends in Toronto, and explored Europe with Taylor’s family and some of their friends.
Home together
They returned from their dreamy early retirement period to regular life in SF. They supported each other through the ups and downs of new jobs and moved in together into a wonderful apartment in Haight Ashbury.
Living together was an amazing next step — they got to hang out every night, and Taylor was treated to Liam’s delicious cooking on a regular basis. (She even got him a pizza oven so he can perfect this craft.)
Growing together
Their relationship continued to grow. They combined their friend groups, attended concerts and festivals, went on many more trips together, and started to attend a lot of their friends’ weddings as well.
Liam introduced Taylor to many classic movies and even convinced her to become an AMC A-lister. Taylor shared with Liam her love of hosting and traveling, and they began co-hosting an epic Pumpkin Party every fall.
The proposal
In May of 2026, Liam proposed to Taylor in a stunning tree grove in Golden Gate Park under the guise of attending a picnic with friends. They celebrated with friends at the park, and their good friend Nicole did an engagement photoshoot for them.
Later that night, Liam threw a jaw-dropping surprise engagement party at one of their early date spots with many of their SF friends and family. It was Taylor’s dream proposal!!
The next chapter
Liam and Taylor are absolutely stoked to celebrate their wedding with all of you in Indian Wells next April! They can’t wait to create wonderful memories with you all as they begin this next chapter in life together.
